How do I join a course and find my assignments?
Open a published course and choose Join course. My learning brings together your courses, announcements, and upcoming work. My assignments shows your submitted responses and teacher feedback. A teacher may pause course access; contact them from the course or Messages if you need help.
How do I prepare and publish a course?
In My courses, create a draft, add a description and learning objectives, then upload lessons. Add and review captions where needed. Staff review the uploads; after approval, publish each ready lesson and then the course. Assignments, students, announcements, and reports each have their own tab in the course workspace.
My upload stopped or is still processing. What should I do?
A full progress bar means the file has transferred; processing and saving may still be running. Keep the page open until it finishes. If the connection stops or times out, check the lesson list before trying again: the first upload may have succeeded. A busy-service error keeps your selected file and text so you can try again shortly.
Why did my lesson changes conflict with another session?
Someone saved a newer version while your editor was open. Your entered text stays in the form. Copy any changes you want to keep, close the editor, reload the course, and open the latest lesson before saving again. Unpublish a lesson to remove student access while preserving learning records.
Why does my message say it is awaiting review?
Classroom messages are held for staff review before the recipient sees them. An administrator reviews them; ordinary teachers cannot approve their own messages. If a send confirmation is lost, use Retry sending in the same conversation. Drafts survive conversation switches but are not kept after leaving or reloading Messages.
What do completion and grades mean in a course report?
A completed lesson means the student marked it complete. It does not measure mastery or time watched. Submitted work awaiting review has no grade yet; a recorded zero is a grade. Teachers can review attempts, return feedback, and export reports from the course workspace.
Do I need an account to explore?
You can browse published lessons and subjects without an account. Save lessons, keep notes, and return to recently opened lessons in this browser. Sign in to use your profile, messages, or teaching tools.
How do I return to a moment in a lesson?
Search the Read along transcript and select a passage to jump to that time. When you are signed in and enrolled in the course, your position is saved to your account. Other recent positions stay in this browser. Use Resume when you reopen the lesson.
Where can I find captions?
In Lessons, select Show lessons with captions. Available captions are on by default in the player. Use the Captions button to turn them off or on, and Language to choose a provided track. Some lessons do not have captions yet; the page will say so.
Can I change text size, contrast, or motion?
Open the accessibility icon in the header or visit Settings. Larger text, stronger contrast, reduced motion, and caption size apply immediately and are saved in this browser. Your system's reduced-motion setting is also respected.
Are sign-language videos available for every lesson?
Only when a named sign-language track has been provided. The player lists the available languages. A sign-language video is separate from captions and follows the main video's playback.
Where are my saved lessons and notes stored?
On this browser and device, separately for each signed-in account and for guests. They do not automatically sync across devices. Guest items remain in the guest library after sign-in. Export a copy from Settings, then import it into another library if needed.
What happens when I import my library?
Import adds lessons that are not already in the current library. Existing notes and progress are kept. A library supports up to 300 lessons, with notes of up to 20,000 characters per lesson. Clearing browser data can remove this library, so export a copy if you want to keep it.
My verification or reset email has not arrived. What should I do?
Check the email address and your spam folder. Use the resend option on the verification page, or request a new reset code. Codes expire. If the issue continues, contact us and include the step that failed, without sharing a password or code.
Why is a lesson or video unavailable?
A lesson may be unpublished, restricted, or temporarily unavailable. If you have an account with access, sign in and try again. A playback link can also expire; reloading the lesson requests a fresh one. You can still read any transcript that is available.
Still need a hand?
Send a written question or report a problem with a lesson.
